Unboxing - August 2014 BDJ Box

Stress-free afternoon to everyone... (strange greetings haha, I kinda feel stress-free now after negotiating a deal with a supplier - work related issues).

I am back to share my first subscription box and it's from BDJ.

My curiosity directed me to subscribe to BDJ Box. I got so curious that most of the blogger's I follow are subscribing to these so called subscription boxes wherein you will pay a certain amount for a box of beauty, skin care, hair care, fragrance from different brands in full sizes or in deluxe sizes.   

I was trilled to try the latest beauty must-haves without paying that much. I love surprises... I kinda like the idea that it's like a mysterious box, you don't know what's inside and you'll be excited to open it.

I subscribed last July 15, 2014 and received the box last August 25, 2014. I got bored waiting for my first box... the excitement fade away... but when I opened the box I felt delighted by these stickers....

 

Be a girl with a MIND, A woman with ATTITUDE, A lady with CLASS... very inspiring, I truly appreciated that I was born a female. Being one entails 24/7 of 100% of yourself to be able to inspire others. 

Moving on...I have 6 products to try and 2 discount vouchers from Blow Dry Bar.

1.) L'oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil - the product provides legendary shine and frizz protection and weightless nourishment for all hair types (description based on their website). I have 45 ml sample to try.. Priced at Php 995.00 for 125 ml bottle.

2.) L'oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil Nourishing Masque - works to balance hair’s natural oil levels by targeting very dry ends to deliver intense nourishment. Hair is left feeling soft, supple and brilliantly shiny (description based on their website). Is Paraben-free, with Argan Oil and Cotton Seed Oil. Sample provided: 75 ml and priced at Php 1,095.00 for 200 ml. I might try this one together with the mythic oil.

3.) Fan Di Fendi Blossom Eau De Toilette - I got three 0.7 ml sample sachets of fragrance. I plan to wear the scent tomorrow. It seems that the scent is fit for me since I love floral and fruity scents. Priced at Php 2,850.00 for 30 ml bottle which I cannot afford.

4.) Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate - this concentrate is for enhancing skin's inherent multi-defensive power against signs of aging, environmental factors and daily stress. Day by day, your skin becomes smoother and more resilient making wrinkles less noticeable and your complexion appears to glow with more radiance than ever. It's for all women of all ages. It works with your skincare to boost the benefits of your regimen, no matter your concerns (description based on their website). Priced at Php 3,500.00 for 30 ml. Glad to try a 5 ml sample, seems very interesting.

5.) Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Shine in Kissable Pink - not so interested with this lipstick since I have the exact shade which I included in my current make-up kit post. Perhaps, a different shade would have been better. Priced at Php 350.00 for a 4g tube.

 

6.) Garnier Color Naturals Cream -  As per the box label its a nourishing permanent hair colour, which I don't intend to use since I don't want to color my hair permanently. Priced at Php 199.00 for 100 ml bottle.

And the last item on the box is this discount vouchers from Blow Dry Bar. Voucher 1 is a Free deep conditioning treatment and Voucher 2 is a 20% on any of their 7 signature hairstyles. I can't avail of these vouchers since I am staying in Cebu. Php 400.00 worth of vouchers.

 This month's theme is Luscious Locks more of the hair care thing.

They included this helpful booklet with the list of all the products inside the box with its corresponding product description and prices.

End of my first unboxing experience. Overall, I like the box... and I can't wait for my September Box.

Hi...

I just want to share my purchases for the last two weeks. As I've said on my previous post I will make use of a mini make-up kit so it will be convenient for me to carry it everyday.

1. Real Techniques Mini Brush Trio - basic brushes that I'll be needing for basic make-up in the office, I will have a separate post for these baby brushes.

2. ZA Perfect Fit Concealer in 02 - my current concealer since I run out of Krave Correct and Conceal Mineral Concealer Stick.

3. Ellana Minerals Mesmer-Eyes Eyeshadow Quad in Charisma, Brilliance, Wish and  Sensational - finally found an all neutral eyeshadow for daily use.

4. Ellana Minerals Pressed Mineral Blush Duo in Obsession / Fulfillment - the latter one is my all time favorite blush.

5. Ellana Minerals Powder Blush in Lust - gift with purchase

My Current Make-up Kit

Hello....

I am showing you my current make-up kit. I have been using this Herbench pouch for a year now. I liked it “before” because it can contain all the beauty stuff I’m using everyday and my bag is big anyway to carry it. But as time goes by, I realized that I can utilize a smaller make-up kit and I can use a mini versions of the stuff inside.

So, here are what's inside my kit. It contains 18 things which I bring everyday in going to the office.

I have two powders: (L-R) Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder in 020 Light Pale which I use most of the time (see the obvious that it will hit the pan soon). The other one is the Garnier Light Visible Whitening Face Powder in 02-Natural that I recently bought just to try something new.

Got 4 lip products: (L-R) Maybelline Baby Lips in Mixed Berry, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 805 Kissable Pink, Colour Collection Vitamin E Lipstick (satin finish) in Rose Mink and Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Addis Ababa.

Moving on to my favorite make-up stuff - blushes: The Face Shop PK103 (pink blush) and Nichido Powder Blush in Cool Rum (brownish coral blush - right area). Another favorite is the Ellana Minerals Super Sparkle Mineral Finishing Powder in Yellow Submarine with Light Gold Shimmer. I used this as finishing powder and to accentuate my eyebrows.

Binaca Breath Spray to freshen my breath comes very handy, Vitress Hair Cuticle Coat, Nichido Eye Pencil in 803 Brown and The Balm Pick-up Liner Eyeliner in Casanova.

Lastly, my brushes: Marionnaud N32 Blush Brush but at the same time I used this as a powder brush :P Marionnaud N6 Eyeshadow Brush, Marionnaud N38 Eye Brow Brush and a sharpener for my eye liners.

I did not include a picture of the Urban Decay Ammo Eyeshadow Palette since I keep it in my office drawer instead of bringing it everyday.

Hey wait... before I forget, I intend to use a smaller make-up kit and mini versions of the above stuff I've mentioned. I already started with the brushes. I bought a mini brush set which I will review soon.
